The annual event commemorates the anniversary of Guy Fawkes failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605.
Councillor Millie Earl, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Connected Communities said:
“This is the last fireworks display of the year on Poole Quay, so I’d encourage everyone to come down and enjoy all the entertainment on offer and support our fantastic local hospitality businesses on the quay and throughout Poole, before viewing the spectacular fireworks.”
The free display marks the culmination of a series of events that have taken place on Poole Quay over the summer and into Autumn.
Managed by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, these events were sponsored by local Poole businesses including Lord Nelson (who also sponsored September Dream Machines), City Experiences, Poole Arms, Custom House, Deli on the Quay, St Tropez, Oriel, Dorset Cruises, Poole Pirates Speedway (sponsors of Quay for my Car), Quay Amusements, Dolphin Quays, Da Vincis, and Greenslade Pleasure Boats.
Following the fireworks, the festive magic starts in Poole, with Christmas officially getting underway on 25 November with the launch of the Poole Christmas Maritime Light Trail (PCMLT).
