Cards for Good Causes charity Christmas cards and gifts are now on sale at Discover Purbeck Information Centre, South Street, Wareham.
The Centre is selling cards supporting over 30 charities including Alzheimer’s Society, Barnardo’s; Cancer Research UK; Help the Heroes; Julia’s House; NSPCC; and RNLI. Shoppers can choose from hundreds of different designs, including local scenes like Corfe Castle and Durdle Door.
Councillor Cherry Brooks, Economy and Infrastructure Portfolio Holder for Purbeck District Council, said: “Buying these cards is one of the simplest ways to support good causes this Christmas.
“The cards not only generate funds, they also helps raise awareness of the vital work these charities do”.
Find the cards at the Discover Purbeck Information Centre in the Library, South Street, Wareham – look out for the distinctive triangular red Santa sign.
In the past ten years, charities have received more than £40 million from Cards for Good Causes, representing at least 70p in every pound, out of which charities have had to pay for the production and distribution of their Christmas cards and any VAT.
You will also find a wide range of traditional advent calendars and candles; wrapping paper; gift tags; napkins; and stocking fillers as well as usual gifts, cards, maps and books.
