The official 2013 Bournemouth Air Festival souvenir brochure is on sale now, and 10 copies have fantastic Willy Wonka-inspired Golden Tickets hidden inside, revealing some great Air Festival-related prizes.
The lucky recipient of a Golden Ticket could find themselves being taken on a VIP tour of one of the Royal Navy ships attending the event, or be wined and dined courtesy of Urban Reef before enjoying the fabulous live music concerts at Boscombe Pier from a designer beach pod. There’s even the chance to receive an amazing, behind-the-scenes day at RAF Scampton, home of the mighty Red Arrows.

The Air Festival brochure (£6) is packed with fabulous images and information on the participating displays, plus a timetable and a unique code to access the up-to-date timetable during the event via the Air Festival website bournemouthair.co.uk.
Also included is a wristband in support of this year’s Armed Forces’ nominated charities, the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, Hounds for Heroes and the Jon Egging Trust. £1 of the cover price is donated between the three charities. To date visitors purchasing the brochure have helped, together with the Air Festival Patrons, to raise more than £40,000 for charity. It is hoped this figure will surpass £60,000 with this year’s contributions.
Jon Weaver, Air Festival Director said; “Sales of the souvenir brochure are one of the main ways we are able to fund the Air Festival. Without them we simply couldn’t provide the huge range of amazing entertainment we have lined up for the event.
“The Golden Ticket promotion is a great incentive to buy this year’s brochure, and we have been very fortunate that the Royal Navy and RAF have been very generous with their prizes, as have local supporters Urban Reef and Castle Cameras and sponsors Hotel Miramar and Bournemouth Highcliff Marriot Hotel.”
“The charity support is something that has grown and grown each year and seeing Festival-goers wearing their wristbands is very heart warming and a clear indication of how much visitors appreciate the hard work of these charities.”
The 2013 Air Festival souvenir brochure is available to buy from the Tourist Information Centre in Westover Road, Bournemouth, Daily Echo offices, branches of Waitrose and a number of other selected stockists. For the complete list see bournemouthair.co.uk.
